DONATE FOR SNAT.CO.UK COMMUNITY

Matthew Ellis from Tweaked for your Viewing Pleasure requires a donation of £80 (approximately $160) for a Invision Power Board license. IBP is a system to power the community chat boards. Without a community, Matthew (or Snat) cannot produce the Tweaked videos very effectively. His series is shown here on Wrights Productions, so any help appreciated.

Homemade Doctor Who Comes to an End
popmanw, Sunday 29 November 2009 - 20:49:33 // comment: 10

Dear WP Doctor Who fans,

For over the past 5 years we have provided the Internet world with homemade Doctor Who videos. After a fantastic time in making them and meeting some great people in the process, it has all come to an end now the final episode was released in late November 2009.

2005 saw the official return of Doctor Who on our television screens since 1989 (apart from a one-off Doctor Who movie in 1996). This inspired me and the then current Doctor actor Joe Scampion into making our own version for the Internet. A 7 episode 2005 series was made with Jack Wright playing companion Steven Long. The end of 2005 through to 2006 saw the development of a homemade Movie with Joe playing a new incarnation of The Doctor. 2007 took a break from Doctor Who in order to make a spin-off series, Torchwood. The official BBC Torchwood was also a Doctor Who spin-off but ours took a completely different story and approach, making it unique accept the name. The end of 2007 saw the development of our final Doctor Who series which ran though 2008 and 2009 to fulfil the story. Chris Hoeft played our 13th Doctor in this final production.

I have had a fantastic time producing it and I know my cast have enjoyed being a part of it. Thank you to all our viewers over the years and the comments and ratings we have received. It is highly appreciated.

Homemade Doctor Who producer, filmer, editor, writer

Doctor Who Series 2007/09 - Final Episode out soon
popmanw, Thursday 17 September 2009 - 21:21:45 // comment: 6

Dear WP members,

The final instalment of our 5 year sci-fi production based on Doctor Who and Torchwood will be here shortly.

The final episode, entitled Betrayal, is now in the editing phase. The exact release date is currently unknown but should be September to early October. The editing will involve green screen backgrounds and moving image keyframing.

We have some surprises for you in store, including cast and the ending plot. For those who have been watching with us for many years, we cannot thank you enough and hope you don't miss the final episode.

Can The Doctor and Editor save planet Wolpolios from Torchwood's evil plans? Who will arrive to assist them on their journey and what does fate have in store for the survival of the team? Watch to find out!

Regards,
Adam Wright
Head of WP and main video producer, editor

New collaboration: Howdle Productions
popmanw, Thursday 02 July 2009 - 17:25:03 // comment: 7

Wrights Productions is very excited to be collaborating with Howdle Productions. Rob Howdle (owner of Howdle Productions) has been in talks with us this week about a partnership. Thankfully the talks have proved successful and his productions will be joining our site!

And even better, there main production which is coming over is also Doctor Who! Rob's Doctor Who series will appear here under his own section called HP's Doctor Who. Our own Doctor Who shall be WP's Doctor Who. This keeps the productions and storylines separate.

Rob and his band Destroyer of Worlds are also making a track for our very last main WP Doctor Who episode this summer. It is planned to feature during the final credits as an instrumental version. However, the worded version may feature over episodes 7 final battle against Torchwood. The worded version will definitely take place in our Dr Who tribute video looking back at the last 5 years, along with shots of the band playing.

Our Doctor Who comes to an end this summer. After a series, a movie, a spin-off series, another main series and 3 Doctors down the line, it is time to call it a day now the story has been fulfilled. We have been looking for somebody to make Doctor Who videos for us once we are done this summer. This person could continue our WP Doctor Who arc but still make it there's. When I say follow ours, I mean sequel our final series. I can announce that the position our characters will be in during the final moments would allow someone to continue with new cast elsewhere in new locations. We shall have to wait and see.

Thanks guys,
Adam

Our new website is here at last! Thanks to Snat at UDL for converting the database from MKPortal to E107 site system.

The new site will be much more cleaner and customised and will include new sections e.g. editing guides; magix, premiere and movie maker. Do you liek the new site compared to the old one? Please comment to this news item and tell us what you think.
